Capitals Insider is reporting that Jay Beagle was seen packing up his gear and has possibly being reassigned to the Bears today.
Alexander Semin is set to return to the lineup tonight while Tom Poti is on the mend and hopes to play sometime in the coming weeks.
It will be good to see Beags back in a Bears uniform. He hasn't played for the Bears since December 12 but he still leads the team in short handed goals with 4. That also ranks #2 in the AHL.
At a time when Hershey is set to depart on a difficult road trip which will include 1 full day on a bus (24 hours travel time NOT counting the trip home to Hershey from Norfolk next week) this is great news. Injuries have left players like Keith Aucoin and Brian Willsie playing tons of minutes as they currently register minutes on the penalty kill in addition to their normal 5v5 and power play minutes.
Hopefully we get a confirmation on Beagle's return sometime today or tonight.
UPDATE: Tim Leone is reporting that the move is official. Beagle has been reassigned to the Bears. Welcome back Jay!!
