Bears hoping Pens win???

I can't believe I am about to type this but...

just for 1 more game!
Well Done Baby Pens!

Last night the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins beat the Norfolk Admirals 4-3 in Norfolk.  It was a huge outcome for Hershey.

Norfolk remains 6 points back with only 7 games left including 2 against the Bears this weekend.  If Hershey even gets a split of the 2 games they are in excellent position heading towards the final weekend of play in the AHL regular season.

So thank you Wilkes-Barre and dare I say...

Good Luck Friday Night!!

Friday night sees the Penguins host the Charlotte Checkers up I-81.  Which is another game Hershey would love to see the Pens win.

That is just weird to even type.  Kind of makes my skin crawl a bit.

But that is the position we Hershey fans (and the team) find ourselves in...rooting for the Pens for a few games to help the Bears get the #2 seed in the East Division and home ice for the first round.

Friday will be the final time this season...and hopefully ever...that Hershey fans and players will have to root for a Baby Pens victory.

How big is the Pens game (and Hershey game) on Friday night?

If both the Pens and Bears win in regulation Hershey would be 5 points in front of Charlotte with 4 games to play for each team and 8 points in front of Norfolk.  And Charlotte and Norfolk play each other Monday night!

Currently Hershey needs a combination of 8 points to keep Charlotte 3rd or worse.  And they need 9 points for Norfolk.  And 6 for Bingo.

Yeah...confusing stuff.  I think those numbers are right.

LET'S GO BEARS!!!!!

AND PENS!!!!  (it just feels wrong)
